Just how good is current and future insurance cover as a Police Officer ?
As a serving police officer your ‘protection and benefits package’ with ‘the job’ is still one of the best there is, despite a steady reduction in some areas which appears likely to continue for both current officers and especially for new recruits.

BUT it isn’t perfect and you should consider both how your changed circumstances after leaving the force and/or how death, injury, acccident or redundancy affecting family members might impact on your work and overall family circumstances.

With any personal insurance, matching the cover to work related benefits is a vital part of
achieving the most appropriate cover - and again, my working knowledge of a police officer’s remuneration and benefits package and overall career circumstances enables me to give clear guidance and recommendations in selecting appropriate cover.

Many police officers delay a decision on replacing the cover (and resulting comfort factor) afforded by the job until retirement, which of course can be considerably earlier than in many professions - and are then shocked at the cost and limitations that apply at that age and their health circumstances at the time.

As well as advising on and arranging a full range of protection policies from a large panel of providers we offer all supporting will and trust arrangements so that benefits are protected for the purpose intended.
My main website has over 200 pages of information about mortgages, insurances and other financial products and issues together with articles, documents and a blog, so for more information go to: www.themortgagelady.co.uk

We also have access to a wide range of insurers for building and contents cover on your residential or buy to let properties - and, as well as benefitting from the advice of someone who has read and compared the policy documents, and therefore understands the small, but often important, variations between different providers - you may be surprised that we are often able to beat the widely publicised ‘on line’ providers.

We do not charge for insurance advice and are always happy to review either your current cover arrangements or potential requirements without commitment - simply call me on 0330 999 1955 and have a chat.
